Marc built our kitchen, bathroom vanities, entertainment center as well as all of our crown molding. In dealing with Marc, we received a very fair price and wonderful communication. The work was completed on time with absolutely no surprises. We felt comfortable giving Marc full access to our home during his projects as we know he treated it like his own. When we were interviewing various contractors for our work, we felt that Marc's full control over the entire project was very important. He explained to us that he shops and chooses his materials to ensure that his customers received exactly what was promised. I have had the pleasure of working with you on many, many homes, and I and my clients have always been very pleased with your craftsmanship.

Our projects have involved all types of woodworking and cabinetry - kitchens, bathrooms, libraries, media centers, etc. You are the very best cabinetmaker I have ever worked with and you have been the most reliable. You have had great attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and precise workmanship. I am always confident when you are on a job that all will be well, within budget, and on time! My clients have commented on how pleasant and patient you are with them as well.

I should point out that in addition to homes that I was construction manager on, I have also always engaged you to build cabinetry in my own homes.... The fact that we have used you repeatedly is significant since I am also a veteran carpenter and woodworker myself and am very critical of other's workmanship. Happily, I have never had occasion to be dissatisfied with your work ever. And equally important, although your work has been so excellent, your prices have always been competitive with those of less skilled and less responsible cabinetmakers.

My only regret in working with you all these years is that you have moved away. I am still building homes but miss having your skills and reliability on my current jobs.... I am delighted to write this letter of reference for you regarding our experience with you and your work several years ago. You were the cabinetmaker recommended by our contractor in a major new custom home we built in Orange, CA. Our home was over 4,000 square feet on over one acre in a contemporary version of a New England style with many Craftsman details. Since this was the home of our dreams, which we had waited twenty years to do, we were most anxious that everything in it would be of the highest artistic standard.

We interviewed and solicited proposals from a number of highly recommended cabinetmakers to build an entire kitchen with butler’s pantry and to do several bathrooms. The process of selecting the right person was difficult and time-consuming. We eventually selected you, Marc, and we are so glad we did, even though you were not the lowest bidder (your price was very competitive, though). I think the reason we chose you was that you had the best references and we felt the most comfortable with you personally. We actually trusted you and we felt good about the prospect of working with you, and in reality you turned out to be every bit as good as all of your recommendations!

In our home, the kitchen is the dead center of everything and is exposed to all the other rooms. It is truly the heart of our home and is the most significant room. Sleenhof Custom Woodworking has made the most beautiful space you can imagine! It is truly a joy to be in our kitchen! Even though we had hired an architect to design the overall interior layout, including the kitchen, you actually designed the cabinetry in large measure. We had a great experience working with Sleenhof Custom Woodworking, and we will be enjoying the woodwork for many years to come!
